 Breakfast recipe Collection – As I am from South India, it has influenced me to prepare more the South Indian Breakfast recipes. For me daily it happens like what to prepare for breakfast? Though I like Dosa and most of the time I have Dosa batter at my home. But eating dosa all the time will be bored. I guess you guys also get bored of having same breakfast so here I have got you the collection of many breakfast recipes including authentic recipes from Karnataka cuisine too.

1. Semiya Upma | Vermicelli Upma 

This is one of the most popular South Indian breakfast recipe in most of the houses. Semiya Upma is an interesting variation in the upma recipes. Semiya Upma is a healthy and nutritious breakfast recipe made out of Semiya.  Semiya Upma | Vermicelli Upma | Vermicelli Upma recipe with step by step photos and detailed video of the recipe.

2. Bread Upma Recipe

Bread Upma is a simple, quick and easy breakfast recipe & some people like to have it for snacks. I have been preparing bread upma for years now, and my husband is a big fan of it. 3. Mangalore Buns | Banana Pooris

Mangalore buns are famous and familiar in Mangalore and udupi region. Mangalore buns or Banana pooris are mostly available in almost all the restaurants in Mangalore and Udupi regions.

4. Neer Dosa

Neer dosa is a variety of dosa made from thin runny rice batter. It’s a famous delicacy in Karnataka cuisine. ‘Neer’ means ‘water’ in kannada. More water is added to the batter not like the usual dosa batter. That’s how the name came like Neer dosa.

5. Rava Upma | Sooji Upma

Rava Upma or Sooji Upma recipe – with step by step photos and detailed video of the recipe. This is one of the most popular South Indian breakfast recipe in most of the houses. Rava Upma recipe is an easy, quick recipe for you to try it out. It is a favorite dish for many south Indians.

6. Aloo Poha & Kanda Poha

Aloo Poha | How to make Aloo Poha recipe | Potato Poha recipe – with detailed description and also video of the recipe is here. Poha recipes are most common in Maharastra and it is now prepared in South India too. First of all I am not a big fan of it. But whenever you don’t have time for breakfast that time it is one of the best option. Because it is quick and easy. Only thing is you need boiled potato ready. 7. Palak Paratha | Spinach Paratha recipe

Nutritious and yummy Indian flat bread called Palak Paratha is prepared using Palak (Spinach), wheat flour and other Indian spices. Preparing this delicious flat bread recipe is an extremely easy task compare to other Paratha recipe like Aloo Paratha because no stuffing, no mess, just a simple and healthy recipe. 8. Sabudana Kichadi

Sabudana or Sago or Tapioca pearls are used in the dish called Sabudana Kichadi. This is a breakfast recipe, as well as you can use it for fasting when you are keeping any Vrat.

9. Idli | Idli using Idli Rava 

Idli is a traditional and healthy breakfast in most of the South Indian houses. Idli can be prepared either using idli rice or idli rava, Urad dal is the common in both the methods. Coconut chutney and sambar make the perfect combination for Idli.
