Watermelon Juice | How to make Watermelon Juice at home – with step by step photos and detailed description. Watermelon juice is a thirst reducer in the hot summer. That too if you are making watermelon juice at home means it will be healthy cooling drink. Apart from thirst reducing character watermelon do has some other health benefits. Let’s see what are those and few things about watermelon.

Watermelon is a fruit that grows on a vine-like flowering plant native to Southern Africa. Medicinal benefits are highly dependent on the ripeness of the watermelon. Beta-carotene and lycopene are usually found in high quantities. Usually we don’t eat the watermelon rind, but quite a few nutrients and fiber are available in that as well.  Watermelons contain significant amount of Vitamin C, protein, fiber, magnesium, calcium and a large amounts of potassium.


Furthermore, all the above nutrients contribute to the various amazing health benefits. Which includes preventing the heart stroke, treating the kidney disorders, regulate the blood pressure, controls the diabetes effective in repairing the damaged cells and also cooling your body in hot summers. It means drinking watermelon juice in the summer has lot of benefits.

I usually make Watermelon juice as plain. But sometimes I add some mint leaves and peppers which gives the juice a different flavor. Sometimes I add Lemon juice and ginger to it while making the juice. If you are able to finish the whole watermelon at one time means its well and good. otherwise you have to keep in refrigerator and next day you can make the chilled watermelon juice. 🙂 Since watermelon has lot of moisture in it, so no need to add extra water to it. Also If you like, don’t add sugar so it will be less sweet. if you prefer you can add sugar while blending.

If you are making the juice in a blender then you have to remove the seeds before blending. If you are making juice in a juicer then it is okay to put the watermelon pieces as it is means no need of removing the seeds.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Watermelon pieces

Instructions

Optional

  • You can add Lemon juice, Ginger, Pepper powder in combination. 
  • If you like to add sugar then you can add.

Notes

  1. Wash the watermelon and remove the rind. 
  2. Cut into large pieces. 
  3. If you are using blender to make juice then remove the seeds and put to the blender.
  4. I used Juicer, so I have not removed seeds. 
  5. If you are adding sugar then add it before blending.
  6. Blend in juicer and put in a serving glass. Serve the juice as fresh.
