Mango Rasayana | Mango Shikran | Mavina Hannu Seekarane – with step by step photos and the detailed description of the recipe. Mango season is here, I didn’t get time to post for so many days. Here I am sharing the most loved recipe from Mango fruit. Mango rasayana | Mavina hannu seekarane also known as Mango payasam. There are many ways of preparing it. Here I’m going to tell you the way I learn’t it from my mom.

This is one of the most popular recipe from Karnataka cuisine which is super easy, quick dessert recipe. In some regions they prepare it differently, also serve along with poori and chapati also like aam ras. Mango rasayana can be prepared by only four ingredients yet it will be delicious.

Mango Rasayana

During my school times I had Mango rasayana along with neer dosa mom use to prepare. Mango rasayana is best accompanied with poori and plain dosa also.
Mango Rasayana | Mango Shikran | Mavina Hannu Seekarane –  it is one of the recipe prepared by king of fruits Mango.  Apart from enjoying raw mangoes so many days now it’s time to enjoy variety of Mango fruits. Already all the markets have filled with ripe mango. Many days back I have shared the Banana rasayana recipe, Mango rasayana also I have followed the same procedure. Only change is you need to use Mango instead of Banana.

Mango seekarane is prepared using mango pulp as the major ingredient. Mango pulp is mixed with coconut milk, Cardamom powder and jaggery. Slightly I have changed the ingredient instead of adding jaggery  I have added sugar because my husband doesn’t like Jaggery in kheer or payasam recipes. Also I have seen many people preparing mango rasayana using milk rather than adding coconut milk. Everything depends on your taste buds so you can vary the way you want it to be.

Coming to the serving part, you can serve Mango Rasayana | Mavina hannu seekarane as a dessert either at room temperature or chilled. It is best accompanied with neer dosa, plain dosa, poori, chapati.

Before going to the recipe I would like to highlight some of my other recipe you might want to check out.
