Banana Payasam | Banana Kheer recipe | Balehannu Rasayana – with step by step photos, description and video of the recipe. Though the recipe of Banana Payasam is so easy and quick, its tasty too. Many varieties of payasam are there, but this must be the easiest payasam or dessert  in all. And it requires hardly 10 minutes time for preparing the this recipe. This is the kind of Banana Payasam mostly found in Coastal regions of Karnataka, and it is not served in any of the restaurants. No worries, it is very easy and even the beginner can prepare it so well.

Further, There are more variations in the recipe, In Kerala Cuisine, usually they prepare it for Onam festival.  that is also known as Pazham Pradhaman, but the preparation and taste may vary from region to region. Pazham means fruit and Pradhaman means the Payasam or Kheer. Based on the base ingredient the pasayam gets the name like we used banana here so Banana Pradhaman. Also they prepare Parippu Pradhaman( Moong dal Payasam).

Banana Payasam | Banana Kheer recipe

My husband and me are big fan of all kheer recipes, and whenever many banana’s starts spoiling in the kitchen I always prepare this Banana Payasam. It tastes better than eating the plain banana. Moreover the elaichi or cardomom gives a good flavor to the dish. Banana Payasam is one of the super quick dessert prepared by mixing sweetened coconut milk along with chopped ripen Banana. And elaichi is used for the flavor. Are you thinking that’s all?? Yes That’s it, try this delicious payasam recipe you will love it. Like this Banana rasayana we also prepare Mango Rasayana, Mango season is nearing, can’t wait anymore. Soon I will post Mango Rasayana too.
