Bread Upma is a simple, quick and easy breakfast recipe & some people like to have it for snacks. I have been preparing bread upma for years now, and my husband is a big fan of it. It’s a quick recipe you can prepare for breakfast.
Usually many people do it with the left over bread, but in my case I buy bread to prepare Bread upma. 🙂 making of bread upma involves simple steps, also crumbled bread is fried along with the spices and vegetables which are always available in most of the Indian kitchen. You can use any type of bread (sandwich bread, whole wheat, multigrain or brown bread) which are available in the market. If you are using fresh bread then no need to slice the edges. If it is few days old bread, edges have become harder. Then it’s good to cut of the edges.
In this post I have covered the detailed video of the recipe as well as the step by step photos with the description for the same.
Quick and easy upma made with bread
If you are bored having bread and butter, or bread roast then here is a recipe for you. Which is easy to prepare with very minimum ingredients. Bread crumbs are sauteed along with spices, tomato, onion and green chilli. Beforehand be ready with ingredients like chopping the vegetables and bread crumbs. I usually cut the green chilli lengthwise because its easy to remove while eating. As some green chillies are very spicy and its easy for you to remove before giving the food to kids.
Finally, i would like to highlight some of my other breakfast recipes here:
