I usually prepare Raw banana sweet curry, raw banana stir fries along with leafy vegetables and how can I miss those bajji’s.
Crispy, sugar coated raw banana is an easy snack recipe which you can prepare in very less time. To give a twist I have included spring onions to it. You can also add finely chopped nuts such as almonds or pistachios. That also will add the crunchiness to the dish.
Finally, while chopping the raw banana’s make sure you do the thin slices if you want this dish to be crispy. Otherwise raw banana slices don’t get fried properly from inside. Serve immediately once you prepare to enjoy the crispiness.

Snow Banana | Raw Banana snack recipe
Ingredients
- 5-6 Raw Banana
- 1/4 cup Spring Onion finely chopped
- 1/2 cup Water
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- Salt a generous pinch
- Oil for deep frying
Instructions
- Wash the raw banana and spring onions well. Dry them using a kitchen towel. Chop the spring onions finely and keep aside.
- Chop off the both th ends of raw banana. Cut into thin slices lentghwise.
- Remove the peel of all the slices. Cut into small pieces again, so that it will becomes crispy when you deep fry in oil.
- Deep fry the raw banana pieces in oil.
- Fry them till they are golden and crisp.
- Remove from the oil and put on a kitchen tissue to remove the excess oil.
- Take another high heat pan, add 1/2 cup of water.
- Add 3/4 cup of sugar.
- Also add pinch of salt.
- Dissolve the sugar. and simmer it for 4-5 minutes. Let the sugar syrup gets sticky consistency.
- Then add finely chopped spring onions. simmer it for 1 minute.
- Add fried banana into the sugar syrup.
- Keep mixing. After 3-4 minutes, all the sugar syrup will get absorbed.
- Switch off the flame and keep mixing until sugar crystallizes.
- Serve immeaditely.

TIPS AND VARIATIONS:
- Firstly, make the thin slices of raw banana to get it crispy.
- You can add finely chopped nuts like badam, pistachios etc in the end.
- Deep fry the banana’s until they are crisp.
- Finally, I don’t think we can replace sugar in this recipe.
