Simple, easy and crispy sweet made from Puffed rice or also known as Murmura and Jaggery syrup. It is one of the favourite snack for kids. This gluten free recipe is very easy to prepare, moreover it’s sugar free.

Murmura Laddu

Firstly, Puffed rice is a type of puffed grain from the Indian subcontinent, made from rice, commonly used in breakfast cereal or snack foods, and served as a popular street food in India.

Puffed Rice is very light, and low on calories. So this is one of the healthiest snacks you can have without thinking it twice.

It is an ideal sweet for winter, you can make this for any occasion or just as a snack for kids. Traditionally made on festive occasions of Lohri and Makar Sankranti. Furthermore, I personally recommend using of jaggery in this recipe instead of sugar. Jaggery syrup consistency is more important for preparing the Murmura Laddu.
