Drinking Aloe Vera Juice helps in detoxification, weight loss, digestion and for the clear skin. I am going to share a recipe of fresh Aloe Vera Juice with the hint of lemon and ginger!

Aloe Vera Juice

Firstly, for preparing the Aloe vera juice from the fresh Aloe vera leaves. You need to remove the flesh or the gel. In the below video I have shown how to remove the Aloe vera gel easily. Also make sure you wash it properly to get rid of the bitterness.

Aloe Vera plant has been used for centuries for its medicinal properties. It contains many vitamins, minerals, micronutrients and essential amino acids. Moreover aloe vera, popularly known as the wonder plant, is used widely for skin care and hair care products too.

Please note: Only the gel in the Aloe vera plant is edible, all other parts are toxic. So extracting the gel with utmost care is important.

Aloe Vera Juice

Aloe Vera Juice at Home

Here is how you can make Aloe Vera Juice at home very easily.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Aloe Vera Leaves medium sized
  • 1 tsp Ginger chopped
  • 1-2 tsp Sugar or any sweetener
  • 3 cup Water
  • 1/2 Lemon

Instructions
 

  • Take two medium sized Aloe vera leaves.
  • Wash it well as it will have impurities and mud sticking to it.
  • Dry them using kitchen towel. 
  • Slit from the sides carefully. 
  • Wash it gently, to get rid of the bitterness. 
  • Separate the gel from the leaves carefully.
  • Put the gel in the mixi jar. 
  • Add 1 tsp chopped ginger. 
  • Also add 1-2 tsp sugar or any other sweetener like honey. 
  • Add little water and blend it. 
  • Filter it. 
  • Add water to adjust the consistency.
  • Add juice from half lemon.
  • Mix well. 
  • Transfer to the serving glass.

TIPS & VARIATIONS:

  1. Firstly, many people are allergic to Aloe vera. So please consult your doctor or Ayurvedic expert before you start consuming.
  2. This drink should always be consumed fresh if it is home made.
  3. Adding lemon and honey helps in losing weight.
  4. You can even add coconut water instead of plain water.
  5. Also adding mint leaf will give a fresh flavour to this.
