Watermelon Lassi | Watermelon Yogurt Smoothie | Summer Drinks – with step by step photos, description and video of the recipe is here. Hydrating and cooling drink for this summer. Lassi is a best thirst quencher and great alternate for the cold drinks. You can prepare the lassi either sweet or salty, both have cooling effect on the body during summer.
Firstly, there are many variations Lassi recipe. Basic lassi is prepared from adding jeera powder, lemon juice and salt to the buttermilk. I even add ginger and coriander leaves to it, which adds a refreshing flavour as well as ginger helps in digestion. Usually salty lassi is prepared in most of the regions, sweet lassi or the variations by adding the fruits have emerged in the recent times.
Furthermore, you can also add lemon juice to it. Moreover lassi can be consumed as just sweet drink, but practically it is an excellent accompaniment for spicy food. Any curd or buttermilk based drink can reduce the heat of spicy food gives a calming effect on the stomach. Lassi is always served at the end of heavy meal, as it helps in digestion.

Watermelon Lassi | Watermelon Yogurt Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1.5 cup Watermelon Cubes
- 1 cup Curd
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper powder generous pinch
- 2-3 Mint Leaves to garnish
Instructions
- Take 1.5 cup of Watermelon cubes (remove the seeds)
- Freeze the watermelon cubes for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes add it in a blender.
- Also add 1 cup of curd or yogurt.
- Add sea salt or black salt to taste.
- Blend it.
- Transfer to a serving glass.
- Sprinkle some black pepper powder.
- Garnish with mint leaves.
- Ready to serve.

- If you like you can also add lemon juice to it.
