Rain Rain…Monsoon Rain…

April 19, 2017 Pallavi Bhat 2 Comments

I and my husband had been for shopping after so many days… and before we could head to our home, heavy rain started. So we waited near the exit gate of the Mall. Birds were chirping and finding place to hide. Rain drops were heavily falling on the road, earth was smelling amazing, and all the vehicles, trees, roads and rooftops were taking nice bath and looked so fresh.

Monsoons are the best days of our childhood…Yes I clearly remember those childhood days. Those were the times we were staying in a village and it was not well connected. We had to walk for two, three kilometres to reach our school. We didn’t had a school bus facility like now. Those best childhood memories which were stacked in the corner of our minds. Monsoon rains makes us to remember those beautiful memories. Everything is more beautiful during rainy season. These Monsoons made me to go back to those stack of memories.

Floating paper boats in the rains, dancing walk to the school holding an umbrella, catching the rain drops which was falling from the umbrella, scribbling a random names on fogged car glass, sitting in the classroom with wet uniform (uniform will not get dry properly in rainy season, if it is dried by chance it will get wet by the rain till we reach school), keeping umbrella to dry in school corridors praying no one picks up our umbrella and many more memories to cherish. Rain stopped by then so we thought to head to our home.

By the time rain stopped, great time we had remembering those beautiful memories of our childhood.

Do share your childhood memories in the monsoon… I would love to know…

Happy Monsoon ahead. 🙂
