Goa – New journey of Life begins…

June 12, 2017 Pallavi Bhat Leave a Comment

December 18th 2013

We (me and my husband) started our journey from our home ‘Honavar’ (place name). It was winter season in the mid of December 2013. My parents and in-laws had come to drop us to the railway station. Our train was at 8.30 in the morning, train arrived in some time and we boarded to Goa with new dreams, parents left towards home.

We had booked side lower seats, we settled in our seats. We didn’t even bother about the co-passengers, not even said ‘Hi’ to anybody. Along the way we enjoyed nice scenes and the snacks we bought were adding taste to it. Husband was busy capturing photos. I was missing my parents 🙁 I put earphones to listen songs just to divert my mind. But thousand things were running in my mind. How the life is going to be with the new person? Will I be able to adjust with him or not..? And many more… hope you guys know how it feels when you get married if it was an arranged marriage.

At the same time we were so excited to be in Goa as it was our first journey together in life as well on train. Also we had planned for long trip for almost fifteen days.

It was early in the afternoon we reached Goa, and it took around an hour to reach to the hotel where we were going to stay for a night. We were hungry by then, our taste buds were ready to eat any kind of food available. We left to have lunch as soon as we reached the hotel. After having lunch returned to the hotel to take rest, and make ourselves ready for next program.

Parasailing

We headed towards beach in the evening before sunset. So many people were roaming around the streets which is beside the beach. Many people were going for parasailing and we were also excited about parasailing as it was the first adventure in my life. 🙂  After paying the fees we walked towards the boat which was taking people for parasailing. Another four people accompanied us. They gave life jacket to wear before we board to boat. Other pair went first for parasailing, then came our turn. I was scared in the beginning, later it felt like I am flying in heaven with parachute. 🙂 Just kidding.

It was amazing experience for me. Before we could end the trip of parasailing that sailor took us such that our feet were touching the water waves; it was awesome.

After that we enjoyed each wave running over our feet. Meanwhile sun was bidding bye for the day. Sky was looking amazing with colorful light which sun has created so as my life was going to be.

We took many pictures and selfies. By then all nearby hotels were shining with decorative lights. We spent some time having snacks and tea just to enjoy that ambiance.

Slowly we headed to hotel where we were staying, on the way we shopped many things along the streets. Cool breeze was accompanying our walk towards hotel. We were tired because of the whole day travel and roaming around the beach. Spent some time watching TV while having dinner. I don’t remember when I fell asleep.

Next day early morning we checked out from hotel. And our first journey on flight was going to happen, rather it was my ‘First Flight’ journey..! I will write about that in another blog post.

I guess you guys also visited Goa at least once. Please comment your experience in Goa… 🙂
