Do you watch Movies…?

July 12, 2016 Pallavi Bhat Leave a Comment

Why do people watch movies? What is that magic which keeps people’s eyes glued to habit of watching movies,  And more importantly, why people love to watch the same movie time and again?

Movies are a great form of entertainment. They make us laugh, cry, happy, sad, they makes us think intellectually. They entertain us, they give hopes, inspire us, they take us to the places we have never been, just even for few moments;  movies are the common link to humanity. Going to the movies is a great way to hang out with our friends or watch them with your family at home. It’s a great way to pass the time.

I love watching  movies almost all the types, not the horror movies though.. 🙂

I have often  wondered as to what makes me love watching these movies. I wonder why is that I can experience tears of joy and pain, the deep pleasure and disappointments of the characters that I watch on the screen in the darkness of the theatres.

I have a curiosity to know and experience different thoughts, different lifestyles, life as different individuals in different situations.  I wonder how it feels to being the world’s richest man and also how the man sleeping on the divider of the highway feels about the moments that life has given! I suppose this desire to live and experience different lives and different situations is the biggest driving force in my fascination about the movies.

Yeah, we love movies because they let us escape. The movies we cherish the most are not the one which is farthest from our experience. Some movies are very near to real life.

Making of movie is an art. Everyone in this platform is not succeeded in the beginning, each movie gives them the experience, which helps them to improve in their next movie.

Hope you are thinking what I want to tell you. Yeah its about a movie and the director whom I liked. One of the recent movies I liked were ‘RamLeela’, ‘Bajiroa Mastani’. If we think about last decade ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, ‘Devdas’.

One would have not missed watching these movies. All these movies are directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He also won the National award for directing the Movie Bajirao Mastani.

Devdas was released in the year of 2002, it’s 14 years now. Even then we love to watch it again.

I have put my ideas about the movie I liked. If you have not watched these movies, please do watch and let me know your opinion.
