Moringa Leaves Chutney | Drumstick Leaves Chutney

It is a healthy chutney made from fresh drumstick leaves, grated coconut and some of the spices.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Moringa Leaves
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Urad dal
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin
  • 3 Green Chillies
  • 1 cup Grated Coconut
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Dry Mango Powder
  • 3/4 cup Water

Instructions
 

  • Separate the leaves of Moringa. Wash them well and tap dry with the kitchen towel. 
  • In a Pan, take 1 tsp of Oil. 
  • Once the oil is heated, 1/2 tsp of Urad dal. 
  • Then add 1/4 tsp Cumin. 
  • Next add 3 green chillies, you can adjust the spice based on your taste. 
  • It will starts to splutter. 
  • Then add 1 cup of cleaned and de-stemmed Moringa Leaves (Drumstick Leaves).
  • Roast it for 2 minutes, or until the raw aroma disappears. 
  • Once it is roasted well, add 1 cup of grated coconut. 
  • Then add salt to taste.  
  • Again roast for 1 minute. 
  • Then Switch off the flame. Also add 1/2 tsp dry mango powder. 
  • Allow it to cool for sometime. 
  • Transfer to the mixi jar. 
  • Add 3/4 cup of water. 
  • Blend it to a smooth paste. 
  • Transfer to the serving bowl. 
  • Moringa Chutney is ready to serve.

HOW TO MAKE MORINGA CHUTNEY | DRUMSTICK LEAVES CHUTNEY WITH STEP BY STEP PHOTOS:
