Take one cup Poha/Flattened rice.
Wash it well in water.
Soak it for 2 minutes. Make sure you use thick poha. Otherwise it becomes mushy.
After 2 minutes, drain the water and add the soaked poha in a big bowl.
Add 1 cup Curd to it.
Also add 1/3 cup of chopped cucumber, 1 TBSP of soaked Chana dal (soak it for at least 30 minutes).
1/2 cup freshly grated coconut.
Add 1/3 cup of chopped apple & 2 TBSP of pomegranate kernels.
Mix it once.
Add Salt to taste.
For tempering, take 1/2 tsp of ghee.
Once it is heated, Add 1/4 tsp of mustard seeds, 1/4 tsp of cumin.
Mustard starts spluttering, add 1 chopped green chilli. Switch off the flame.
Next add 5-6 Curry leaves, sauté it.
Add the tempering to the poha.
Also add 1 tsp of chopped coriander leaves.
Mix well gently.
Gopalkala is ready.
