Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 tsp Ghee
  • Cinnamon small piece
  • 2-3 Cloves
  • 2 Bayleaf
  • Pinch of Asafoetida
  • 1/4 cup Onion chopped
  • 1/4 cup Carrot chopped
  • 1/4 cup Beans chopped
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1/2 Green chilli
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • 1 cup Fenugreek Leaves
  • 1.5 cup Rice washed
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 cup Water

Instructions
 

  • Add 1.5 tsp of Ghee in a pressure cooker or in a pan. Heat the ghee. 
  • Add piece of Cinnamon. 
  • Next add 2-3 cloves. 
  • Also add 2 bay leaf. 
  • Next add 1/4 cup of chopped Onion. Sauté them. Let the onion becomes translucent.
  • Then add 1/4 cup of chopped Carrot. 
  • Also add 1/4 cup of chopped Beans. 
  • Sauté them for 1 minute. 
  • Then add 1 tsp of Ginger Garlic paste. 
  • Add 1/2 green chilli. 
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder and add 1/2 tsp of cumin. 
  • Next add 1 cup of clean/washed Fenugreek leaves. 
  • Sauté them for 1 minute or until the raw aroma of fenugreek/ methi leaves. 
  • Add 1.5 cup of washed rice. 
  • Mix everything well. 
  • Add salt to taste. 
  • Next add 3 cups of water. 
  • Mix well, close the lid and pressure cook. 
  • Cook for 2-3 whistles. Allow the gas to release on its own. 
  • Ready to serve with raita.
