Lalbagh Flower Show is a sight to watch. Every year on Independence Day and Republic day, flower shows are organized at the Lalbagh Botanical Garden. The event is jointly organized by the Department of Horticulture and Mysore Horticulture Society.
Flower Show at Lalbagh – When?
Every Year two flower shows are held at Lalbagh, Bengaluru. One at the time of Republic Day & other at the time of Independence Day. This flower show has been one of the most awaited events in the Garden City.
Major Attractions of Independence Day Flower Show 2019:
The replicas of Chamarajendra Wadiyar Circle in Mysuru, the Raja Durbar of the palace, and the Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens are amongst the major attractions of the Flower Show this year.
Replicas of musical instruments such as the veena, keyboard and other instruments are also on display in a bid to showcase the late Maharaja’s love for music.
The colourful arrangement of anthurium, dahlia and orchids, the results of the Indo-American Hybrid Seeds associated with Lalbagh for the past four decades, forms a fitting entry at the Glass House.

How many Flowers Used?
Over 12.5 lakh flowers are used for the 2019 Independence Day Flower Show in Lalbagh. While they include over 92 varieties of flowers, including roses, anthuriums, chrysanthemums, carnations, poinsettias.
Ticket & timings :
While the entry ticket for each adult is fixed at Rs 70, the same for kids below the age of 12 is Rs 20. Tickets can be purchased directly at all entry points to the garden or online. The Independence Day Flower Show in Lalabgh is open to visitors from 9.30 am to 7 pm every day, including weekends and public holidays.
