Drive to Shri Karikaan Parameshwari Temple | Sunset point in Honnavar

It is one of the top places to visit in Honnavar. Shri Karikaan Parameshwari Temple is a Hindu Goddess temple in Western Ghats in Karnataka, located near the town of Honnavar. Sunset view from the temple is amazing and one can get to see the view of Arabian Sea from top.

Karikaan Parameshwari temple is located on one of the highest peaks, and surrounded by dense forest. Favourite spot for nature lovers. One more temple called Ondadikeshwara, Lord Shiva temple is located nearby which you can go by trek. Be aware of monkeys and some animals as it is amidst the dense forest.

How to reach Shri Karikaan Parameshwari Temple?

Karikaan Parameshwari Temple/Sunset view point is around 14 km from Honnavar town. From Honnavar town take NH66, turn right to Ramateertha road.

This is around 14 km from Honnavar town. From Honnavar town, take north bound NH 66. Turn on Ramateertha cross road and drive for 7 km. Upon reaching Areangadi village (locally pronounced as “Are Angadi” ), turn left to Karikaan Parameshwari Temple Road and drive for another 5 km, The temple is at the end of the road.

From Areangadi you will get auto or cabs to temple.
